LADY luck must be smiling on Yunalis Zarai, better known as Yuna. Right after winning second place at the recent 24th Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL24) last Sunday, the independent singer/song writer is already considering offers to spread her wings internationally. If the Kedah-born singer hesitated on an earlier offer which had made headlines last year, this time Yuna is considering to give serious thoughts on the second.
"I received a call from a label representative from America at the end of last year asking me whether I was interested to sign under their label. Of course, I was surprised," she said.
"I had never imagined that my music would come this far, but I am grateful that it did. Penetrating the international market has always been my target," said Yuna.
She is, however, having second thoughts on the offer. "A lot of things need to be sorted out before I could give a nod to this offer.
Even if I am there, I want my music style to stay with me. "This is the kind of music I make and I'm comfortable with," said Yuna.
This doesn't mean she has either accepted or rejected the offer. It only means that she is seriously considering it.
